I enjoy designing magazines and newsletters for people who read. I know that pictures are content, not window dressing. I can talk (and listen) to editors. I’ve worked as a publication designer for more than 20 years. For the last six years, I’ve specialized in doing work for small magazines and newsletters, helping them reach their readers more effectively.

 

You need a Designer who thinks like a Production Manager.

I can read (and create) production schedules. I can communicate with printers. I know how to set priorities, and more importantly, I know how to make mid-course corrections to stay on track. In 20-plus years of production work, I’ve always met my deadlines.

My experience in collateral and direct response design taught me to keep the goal of a project at the top of my mind. I take the time to understand how what I do contributes to the mission of an organization, as well as to the publication at hand.
